Languages Offered:

The school offers seven levels for adult classes in SPANISH, FRENCH, ITALIAN, ARABIC, RUSSIAN, PORTUGUESE, CHINESE, ETC: Beginner I and II, Intermediate I and II, Conversation I, II and III Classes. The students have also the opportunity to meet once per month with other students who are studying the same language and practice, in evening sessions called "Language Group Study". We also offer courses for different professions in Spanish.

SCHEDULE FOR UPCOMING ADULT AND "MOMMY AND ME" CLASSES 

• Beginner I and Beginner II levels

  At the very beginning level no previous knowledge of the language is required. Beginning to learn a foreign language means opening new door for a lot of students for whom this might be the first non-native language they learn, so a variety of methods are employed with emphasis in the differences between languages. By the end of the beginner levels students can utilize the simple present, future, and past tenses to talk about a variety of topics. They can present themselves, their family, orient in time and space, expressing wants and needs, talk about daily activities etc.

• Intermediate I and Intermediate II levels

  After gaining the basis of the language, in this level students master their knowledge by learning complex grammatical and vocabulary concepts. The emphases are on the oral communication. The concepts of grammar and vocabulary introduced in the previous levels are revisited and new structural methods are added. Original texts are used to make learning easier. By the end of the intermediate levels the student is able to talk about the leisure activities, actions that might occur in the past, present and future, social relationships, shopping, eating out etc.

• Conversation Classes

  Those classes are for students who studied the foreign language for a long time in other settings and would like to reach a higher proficiency level. Total Immersion is the key for this level: English is used only for minor explanations. The emphases are on the idioms and difficult grammar concepts. Those are very intensive classes, normally taken three hours per week. The topic of each class is different and it is driven from the interests of the students.

• Language Group Study

  Those groups are formed by the students and meet in specific days, once per month. The activities include movie watching (in the language the group is studying), cooking, group discussion about different topics etc. Please call for more information about those groups.

• Spanish for professionals

  We offer intensive 1-3 levels of Spanish for professionals in Real Estate, Banking, Landscaping, Property Management, Medical field etc. Please call or send e-mail for more information.

Organization of Classes:

Most of the classes are group classes with no more than 8 students per class. Each level is taught during 10 weeks, two hours per week. At the end of each level normally there is one-week break before beginning the other level.

We also offer 7-week levels with three hours per week (two sessions 90 minutes each) for students who would like to master their language in a shorter time.
